The retro design is based on a 1977 Citizen Challenge Diver that was found covered in barnacles and still ticking on an Australian beach in 1983 after being submerged in the ocean for years. That history has inspired the modern Promaster Mechanical Diver and given it the affectionate nickname, Fujitsubo ? Japanese for barnacle. The watch’s dial and uni-directional bezel feature a marine blue color, with the display making use of embossed hands and a classic green luminous for a vintage feel. The professional-grade timepiece is powered by an advanced automatic movement that boasts enhanced magnetic resistance to protect against interference from everyday devices, as well as a 42-hour power reserve.
